The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team hosted Wilbraham & Monson Academy for a home game at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Friday, February 13, winning 69-54.
Taking the court, the Lady Hornets were quick off the jump and kept the lead going throughout the game. Junior Maddie Benigni led the team with 38 points, which is the school record for most points in a single game. Senior Reilly Chernovetz had 15 points followed by senior Tessa Porch with five points and junior Andrea Crump with four points.
“We really gave a great performance defensively and everyone knew their assignment,” said Coach Brian Johnson. “The girls did a great job rebounding the ball against a bigger team.”
