The Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey Team welcomed Avon Old Farms for a home game at the Ralph Walker Rink on Wednesday, January 7, winning 8-1.
The team came out fast on the ice and scored in the first two minutes of the game. The Hornets kept the momentum going throughout the second period with a score of 4-0 against the Winged Beaver. It was now a back-and-forth battle in the third period as senior Alex Romero scored his first career goal. Freshman Matt Perrotti played solid in the net and won his first career goal and junior Andrew Feldman was quick with speed and netted three goals, which is known as a hat trick.
Coach Dante Tomassini noted that it was a great all-around win and the team is ready for the second half of the season.
The team returns to the ice for a home game against Fairchester Athletic League Association rival King School on Friday, January 9, at 6:45 p.m.
