Student-Athletes Honored with Spring Athletic Awards

With the spring sports season officially closed, a plethora of our Varsity student-athletes have been recognized and honored for their outstanding performance and commitment to their sport throughout the season by the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).
The Girls’ Varsity Golf Team won the Fairchester Athletic Association League Tournament and placed first at the Fishers Island Invitational Tournament under Coach Keith Kaliszewski 1998. As the first-ever Girls’ Team at Hamden Hall, the Lady Hornets had an undefeated season with a 7-0 record and earned the first golf FAA title. The Boys’ Varsity Golf Team placed first at the Fishers Island Invitational Tournament. The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team advanced to the semifinal game of the Fairchester Athletic Assocation League Tournament and won the New England Small School Championship under Coach Brad Chernovetz. This win marks the fourth consecutive New England title for the team.

The Girls’ Varsity Softball Team advanced to the semifinal game of the Fairchester Athletic Association Tournament and the semifinal game of the New England Tournament under Coach Laura Montone. The Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Team advanced to the semifinal game of the New England Tournament under Coach Kiernan Griffin 2000. The Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team advanced to the quarterfinal game of the New England Tournament.

Boys’ Varsity Baseball:
  • Junior Amato Civitello earned FAA All-League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC
  • Junior Nic Scilla earned FAA All-League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC
  • Junior Billy Cole earned FAA All-League 2nd Team
  • Senior Logan Charboneau earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention and All-NEPSAC
  • Sophomore Jey Scanlon earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention
