Boys’ Varsity Baseball Advances to NEPSAC Semifinals

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to the University of Saint Joseph for the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) quarterfinal game against St. Paul’s School on Monday, May 19, winning 7-3.
The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to the University of Saint Joseph for the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) quarterfinal game against St. Paul’s School on Monday, May 19, winning 7-3.

Sophomore AJ Park took the mound as starting pitcher, striking out three players and only allowing two earned runs on four hits through five innings. Junior Eric Jagielow came in as closing pitcher for the final two innings, only allowing one earned run on two hits.

At the plate, junior Billy Cole went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and one run as sophomore Jey Scanlon went 2-for-3 with two hits, one run, and one RBI. Junior Amato Civitello had two runs and one stolen base, senior Carlos Reyes had one hit and one RBI, and senior Logan Charboneau had one hit and one run.

The team has advanced to the semifinal game of the NEPSAC Tournament against St. Luke’s School on Tuesday, May 20, at 4 p.m.
