Boys’ Varsity Baseball Closes Out Season Victorious

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Greens Farms Academy for the last regular game of the season on Thursday, May 8, winning 7-6.
The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Greens Farms Academy for the last regular game of the season on Thursday, May 8, winning 7-6.

Sophomore AJ Park took the mound for the Hornets, striking out five players over almost four innings. Junior Billy Cole closed out the game, striking out three players and only allowing two hits.

At the plate, junior Nic Scilla went 1-for-3 with three RBIs, one stolen base, and one run as fellow junior Amato Civitello had one home run and one stolen base. Senior Logan Charboneau had one hit and one double, junior Luca Faulker had two RBIs, and sophomore Jey Scanlon had two runs.

Coach Brad Chernoverz noted that the team record for the season is now 11-6 and 10-4 in FAA League play.

The team returns to the field for the Fairchester Athletic Association League Semifinal game on Tuesday, May 13, against St. Luke's School.
