After Hamden Hall, Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical computer and systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He went on to work in New York City for Accenture and Price Waterhouse before moving up the corporate ladder for 20-plus years at Citigroup.
“I left my job at Citigroup in 2017, as the director of strategic programs, to become the head of agile and product strategy for U.S. Bank,” said Mike. “My wife, Ann, and our son, Austin, moved with me to Minneapolis. Our daughter, Morgan, stayed in Boston after graduating from Boston University to begin working at Wellington Asset Management. I spent several years working with the team at U.S. Bank, formulating and executing their strategy for agile product development and creating its small business growth strategy.”
Opportunity then arose for Mike with a new company in a new state.
“In late 2020, I joined Northwest Bank as their chief technology officer in Columbus, Ohio, relocating once again,” recalled Mike. “While in the midst of Covid, my son was working to complete his business degree from UConn, which he finished while living in Columbus. He now works as a film and video producer with NCCER in Florida, and our daughter now works for McKinsey Consulting in Boston.”
Opportunity knocked again for Mike in 2025.
“I departed Northwest Bank and accepted a new role at Telhio Credit Union, in Columbus, as their chief technology officer and head of their venture capital fund,” said Mike. “I’m having a terrific time in this new role, but believe this will be my final position. Ann and I are starting to talk about retirement and the possibility of moving to Florida in a few years.”
Mike was also excited to share that he walked his daughter, Morgan, down the aisle in June to marry E.J. Fitzpatrick.
