Emily Anderson Says I Do

Second-grade teacher Emily Anderson married her longtime love, Morgan White, on July 3 at The Candlewood Inn located on Candlewood Lake in Brookfield, Conn. The date marked the couple's sixth anniversary from when they began dating.
The outdoor ceremony was officiated by Morgan’s uncle, Jonathan White. Emily shared that she and Morgan added in personal touches by writing their own vows and reading out loud heartfelt responses to questions they were asked by Jonathan about each other and their relationship.

The wedding party included Emily’s three sisters: Kiley, Brinley, and Molly Anderson as her maids of honor; her brother Bryce Anderson as a groomsman, and Morgan’s brother Brendan White was the best man. Molly is a Class of 2020 alumna.

Hamden Hall attendees included Lower School Director Lorri Carroll and her husband Jonathan Carroll, Lower School art teacher Sue Bennett and her husband Dave Bennett, first-grade teacher Rebecca Godinez, fellow second-grade teacher Erin Correa, and Upper School math teacher Bruce Rich.

The reception, also hosted at the Candlewood Inn, welcomed family, friends, and guests for a night of fun with dancing and music from the DJ and a photo booth with props for all to enjoy. While the weather was unpredictable throughout the ceremony with a little thunder and some lightning, the rain held off until cocktail hour and dinner, which made way for a gorgeous sunset for all to enjoy.

The newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon in St. Lucia. They currently live in East Haven where Emily is now in her 10th year at Hamden Hall. Morgan works at American Cruise Lines as an Assistant Manager of Port Development.
