The National Latin Exam is a 40-question annual exam that covers general knowledge of Latin grammar and vocabulary, translation, and derives. The scholastic exam is sponsored by the American Classical League/National Junior Classical League. In order to merit an award on the NLE, a student must score above the national average on a respective level.
Outside of the classroom, a highly spirited group of students were dressed in colorful togas and tunics as they spent the day at Holiday Hill for Connecticut State Latin & Greek Day MMXXV. The 2025 Latin Day Theme was Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam, which translates to “I will either find a way or I will make one."
The immersive event sponsored by the Classical Association of Connecticut welcomes students from all over the state to participate in activities and presentations inspired by the classics. With Ms. Spaulding and Dr. Orlebeke, the students spent the day enjoying a full schedule of activities such as academic contests, crafts, presentations, athletic competitions, project viewing, and more.
