Alessandro Chiodo, 2LT, U.S. Army ROTC

Alex Chiodo, Class of 2013, is a 2LT in the U.S. Army branch Field Artillery. He is currently stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., and is serving as the Firing Platoon Leader for 2/B 3-321 Field Artillery Regiment (HIMARS) - the "Slaughterhouse Platoon." He is in charge of four M142 UFCS HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems), which provide timely and accurate precision strike fires at long ranges.

"One thing HH taught me was the importance of having a close knit community. Playing football, wrestling, and lacrosse was my first real experience of working as a team to accomplish a common goal. Being the captain of these thrree Hamden Hall teams served as the foundation for my leadership skills, which have put to the test and stressed every day. I now have that tight-knit community in the military, but the roots stem back to my days at Hamden Hall," maintained Alex.

Alex is also the co-founder and executive vice president of a national nonprofit for veterans named Reviresco. Reviresco aims to bridge the civilian-military divide by engaging, educating, empowering civilians to go beyond saying "thank you for your service" to our veterans.
