'Souper' Students Serve Meal

Bill Hunter
Six members of the Interact Club and two veterans from last year's crew helped serve dinner to 120 visitors in February to the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen in New Haven.

Thanks to Abigail Malin for organizing the Interact group (including sister Madeleine, Brianna Bell, Hope Riley, Maisa DellaValle and Katherine Peavy), and to returning participants Kai Clemons and Taryn Bellamy.

On the menu: pot roast, baked ham, noodle casserole, squash/broccoli medley, fruit salad, green salad, dessert (donut or cookies), and peach ice tea.  Aside from serving dinner, thanks also to the assembled crew for work doing dishes and cleaning up the dining hall.

Another foray to DESK is planned for early March.
