Walter Moriarty, Hamden Hall Class of 1965, presents a plaque to Head of School Bob Izzo during the all-school assembly on the first day of school (Sept. 1).
Walter represented his classmates--all 30 who made gifts totally more than $1 million--to give the plaque that is now on display in the Taylor Gymasium.
The gift resulted in a new impressive vestibule, enhance grounds, and a new parking lot.
Additionally, the interior gym got a full facelift!
The facility now features new glass windows, doors, ceiling, lighting, and air conditioning. And the floor--wow! It's sanded and refinished with a new large "Hornet" logo in center court and "Taylor Gymnasium" painted on the floor.
Watch for an in-depth story in the 2016 Hamden Hall Magazine, coming out in December.
