Rachel Plotke and Krystina Reynolds Receive All Area Honors

Congratulations to junior Rachel Plotke and senior Krystina Reynolds upon being selected to the New Haven Register All Area team for basketball. The two stars played critical roles in leading the Hornets to the New England Championship title this winter. Rachel, as shooting guard averaged 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals per game. She also made 78 three-pointers and shot 86 percent from the free throw line. Krystina played point guard but also could be counted on for clutch outside shooting. She averaged 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals per game for the Hornets. Both girls were selected as Fairchester All League and New England All Star, and both joined the 1,000 point club this season. Rachel will play for Team USA in Israel in the World Maccabiah Games in July. Krystina was also a New Haven Tap Off Club selection and named the New England Tournament MVP. She had already been named All Area in soccer this fall, and plans to play at Middlebury next year.
