Former Faculty Member Julia Taft Jonathan Passes

Julia Taft Jonathan, a former Hamden Hall teacher, died Jan. 26, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Jonathan, who also taught at Hamden Hall during the 1980s.

She is also survived by her three daughters, two sisters and a brother.

Julia was the great granddaughter of President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft and granddaughter of Sen. Robert Taft of Ohio. She attended Yale University and taught in the Middle School at Hamden Hall prior to relocating to Lake Placid.
