Collin Roth Wins CISAC XC Meet

        Freshman Collin Roth surprised everyone by winning the CISAC league cross country championship at Bucks Hill Park in Waterbury. Roth finished with a time of 18:20, beating the second place finisher by a huge 14 seconds. The Hornets finished third overall as a team. Sophomore Loren Dunn finished 13th (19:23) and senior Jack Dowe finished 14th (19:45) to earn All League status. This is the second time for Jack and the third time for Loren. Collin's brother, freshman Connor Roth finished 16th in a time of 19:56, followed by sophomores Kyle Delfini 22nd 21:18, Ian Norden 23rd 21:23, Michael Crockett 25th 21:55, and Nate Hill 30th 22:41. The middle schoolers also performed well with John D’Angelo finishing 35th 23:30, Luke El-Fishawy 36th  23:41, and Nick Neumeister 41st  24:15. Senior Silas Newman finished 46th25:29.

        In the girls' race, freshman Anne-Sophie Neumeister ran a personal best, and earned All League status with a 14th place finish in a time of 24:08. Eighth grader Naomi Chang  was 22nd with a time of 26:45. Congratulations to the team and coaches on an outstanding effort. Next up is the New England meet next Saturday.
