Virtual career allows Christopher O'Neill 1984 to consider move to Connecticut

Living in a Virginia suburb outside of our nation’s capital allowed Christopher O’Neill 1984 and his wife to join in on the fun of a recent alumni gathering in Washington, D.C., that included dinner with Head of School Bob Izzo. But the next time Chris wants to reconnect with his alma mater, chances are he’ll be doing it right at the school on Whitney Avenue!

Chris and Sowjanya, who are parents to son Devin, 10, and daughter Sarita, 8, have made their home over the years in Boston, New York, and McLean, Va., due to their careers (Sowjanya is a management consultant while Chris is an executive in a global tech Fortune 100 company.) More recently, those careers have evolved as both virtual and flexible, allowing the couple to consider a relocation to the New Haven area.

“We recently felt the draw of Connecticut and the need to be closer to our large extended family,” said Chris. “We are shopping for a home and a good school in the New Haven area and hope to be back in town permanently by next fall.”

Chris notes that he would enjoy hearing from “folks” via e-mail, Linkedin, and/or Twitter. His handle is “conw88.”
