Boys’ Varsity Soccer Slides to Victory
The Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team welcomed The Master’s School (CT) for a home game at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Wednesday, October 7, winning 7-3.
The Hornets came out of the gates flying with goals by seniors and captains Anton Cruz and Leo Dottori. It was a back-and-forth battle as the Lions scored a goal from a counter-attack, but the team kept strong on the defense to end with a score of 3-1 at halftime.
The second half showcased another dominant performance from both Anton and Leo with a combined three goals scored. The Lions came back with two more goals, but the team closed the game with a convincing 7-3 victory.
“The team continues to improve week-in and week-out and should be proud of their growth individually and collectively,” said Assistant Coach Charles Khuen.
