2012 Alumnus Weds in Special Ceremony

Class of 2012 alumnus Tayler Thorpe married Trevor Madore in an intimate ceremony at the Hartford City Hall on May 30.
Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed close friends and family for a dinner held at Saluté Restaurant with fellow classmate and alumnus Timothy Swensen and his wife Amber in attendance.

Tayler and Trevor met in summer 2022 when Tayler was attending a work conference at the University of Connecticut. Tayler shared that both he and Trevor share a love for New Haven as Tayler grew up in Hamden and Trevor in Milford, and these roots have provided a strong foundation for their relationship - though differing in their beliefs about the best pizza in town. Outside of work, they have enjoyed many travels together both domestic and abroad, but most enjoy spending time in Vermont.

They live in West Hartford, Conn., with their dog Asha. Professionally, Tayler works as a strategic planning advisor for infrastructure projects in the Department of Revenue Services for Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont’s administration. Trevor works as an academic advisor at the University of Connecticut and is pursuing a Doctor of Education ( Ed.D.) degree in educational leadership.
