Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Advances to New England Championship
The Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Team welcomed Mount Saint Charles to the Skiff Street Athletic Complex for the semifinal game of the New England Tournament on Monday, May 18, winning 18-8.
Taking the field, the Lady Hornets were ready to go. Senior and captain Angelina McKenna led the team with six goals with sophomore Chloe Zebrowski right behind with five goals. Freshman Liza Zuffelatto had two goals as senior Emily Savik, junior Lily Maher, freshmen Dyllan Civitello and Mya Brevard, and eighth-grader Natalie McNamara all scored one goal each respectively.
The team returns to the field for the New England Championship game on Wednesday, May 20. The game will be hosted at Wheaton College against Austin Prep at 6:30 p.m. This marks the first Championship appearance for the Lady Hornets since the 2018 season.
