Boys’ Varsity Baseball Dominant on the Diamond

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team hosted King School for a home game at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Tuesday, April 28, winning 6-0.
Junior and starting pitcher Brian Anderson took the mound, striking out four players and only allowing two hits through three innings. Senior Billy Cole struck out eight players and allowed no earned hits or runs through three innings. Freshman Evan Perez closed out the game, striking out three players in his first Varsity game appearance.

At the plate, senior and captain Amato Civitello went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBIs, and one double. Senior and captain Nic Scillia had one double and one run; junior Sam Castro had one double; and junior Leo Dottori had one RBI and one run.

Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the team record is now 15-3 for the season and 8-1 in FAA league play.

The team returns to the field for a rematch game against King School on Thursday, April 30, at 4:30 p.m.
