Shut-Out Win for Boys’ Varsity Baseball

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team welcomed Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Greenwich Country Day School for a home game at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex on Thursday, April 23, winning 13-0 in five innings.
Junior Brian Anderson took the mound for the Hornets, striking out seven players with no earned runs through four innings. Senior and captain Amato Civitello closed out the game with no earned hits or runs to secure the team victory.

At the plate, senior Billy Cole went 3-for-3 with one double, one RBI, and three hits and senior Nic Scillia had one double, three RBIs, and two hits. Junior Jey Scanlon had one RBI, junior Leo Dottori had one hit and one run, and freshman Dontye Green had one hit.

The team returns to the Skiff Street Athletic Complex for a home game against Avon Old Farms on Monday, April 27, at 4:45 p.m.
