Boys’ Varsity Baseball Victorious in Season Opener

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Greens Farms Academy for its opening game of the season on Tuesday, March 24, winning 13-1 in six innings.
Taking the field, the Hornets were ready to play. Junior and starting pitcher Brian Anderson took the mound, striking out seven players and allowing no earned hits or runs. He found success at the plate going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

At the plate, junior Sam Castro went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Junior Jey Scanlon went 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double and junior Leo Dotorri went 1-for-2 with an RBI triple.

The team returns to the field for a home scrimmage at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex against North Branford High School on Wednesday, March 25, at 3:45 p.m.
