Regular Season Win for Boys’ Varsity Basketball

The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team welcomed Portsmouth Abbey School for its final home game of the regular season at the Beckerman Athletic Center on Saturday, February 21, winning 73-44.
Taking the court, freshman Massa Toure led the Hornets with 22 points as junior Eli Kingsley had 12 points. Senior Amato Civitello, junior David Tvardzik, and sophomores Caleb Desta and Daniel Vincent netted a combined 28 points.

Following the win, the team celebrated Amato in a Senior Night celebration. Coach Sean Doherty shared some sentiments and how great it was to see Amato win the final game of the regular season on the home court.
“I could not be prouder of Amato as a player and what a great teammate he has been over the course of these four years. It is great to see Amato finish his career with a home win,” he said.

The team returns to the court for the quarterfinal game of the Fairchester Athletic Association League Tournament against King School on Tuesday, February 24, at 6:15 p.m.
