Western New England Tournament Welcomes Co-ed Varsity Wrestling
The Co-ed Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to compete in the Western New England Tournament on Saturday, February 7, with three wrestlers earning placements.
Hosted by Avon Old Farms, the tournament welcomed Brunswick School, Greens Farms Academy, Greenwich Country Day School, Hopkins School, Pomfret School, Suffield Academy, and the American School for the Deaf.
Coach Kiernan Griffin 2000 took five Hornets to the tournament and all wrestled well against their opponents. Junior Carmine Caritati placed second followed by junior Fred Liu in fifth place in their respective weight class, and sophomore Trin Sukduang placed fifth in his respective weight class.
The team returns to the mat for the New England Tournament hosted at Greens Farms Academy on Saturday, February 14.
