Road Win for Girls’ Varsity Basketball

The Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled for an away game against Holy Child School on Saturday, January 24, winning 52-30.
Taking the court, senior Tessa Porch and junior Maddie Benigni led the way offensively with big defensive stops by senior Reilly Chernovetz and junior Andrea Crump. Other player highlights include a buzzer-beater basket by junior Trinity Robinson and freshman Julianna Stirk getting a block after a great closeout on the perimeter. 
 
“It was a fun and competitive game where everyone contributed, taking us to a team win,” said Coach Brian Johnson.
 
Coach Johnson also shared that the biggest moment of the game was Tessa scoring her 1,000th point and achieving a new career milestone. He shared that Tessa put so much work over her time with the team and it was well deserved.
 
The Lady Hornets stay on the road for an away game against Greenwich Academy on Wednesday, January 28, at 4:30 p.m.
