Co-ed Cross Country Win CISAC Championship
The Co-ed Varsity Cross Country Team welcomed MacDuffie School, Christian Heritage School, Williams School, and Westover School for the Connecticut Independent Schools Athletic Conference (CISAC) Tournament Championship on Saturday, October 25.
Hosted at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex, the Hornets wrapped up their most successful fall season as both teams were victorious with five runners from the Boys’ Team finishing under 20 minutes.
Coach Aidan Clark-Long credited captains and seniors Cole Christman and Andrew Yang for the Boys’ Team and juniors Lily Evans and Becky Liu for the Girls’ Team, for setting the tone with their leadership and consistency. Other highlights included Lily and sophomore Kristina Carlson both respectively running 23 minutes or under throughout the season.
The team will conclude its season by traveling to the University of Augusta in Maine for the New England Invitational on Saturday, November 8.
