Victorious Season Opener for Girls’ Varsity Volleyball
The Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Team hosted Wooster School at the Beckerman Athletic Center for their first game of the season on Friday, September 6, winning 3-0.
Senior Tami Afolalu led the team with an impressive 17 kills as sophomore Shawna Aurora was strong on the offense and had six kills. Senior Briana Sposa went 10-for-11 on the serve line, helping to maintain the momentum throughout the match.
Coach Gary Aurora noted that several players delivered standout performances and the team is ready for the season.
The Lady Hornets return to the court for an away game against Marianapolis School on Wednesday, September 10, at 4:45 p.m.
