2015 Alumna Graduates Harvard Business School

Class of 2015 alumna and Lifer Josie Maynard graduated with her Master of Business Administration degree with Distinction from the Harvard Business School.
MBA with Distinction recognizes a student's exceptionally high performance in the program and is awarded to students who received both first- and second-year honors.

“I wanted to pursue my MBA to become a more thoughtful and effective leader, to gain more concrete business knowledge, and to grow my professional network and learn from people who have a different perspective than me,” said Josie. “While I had gained problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through my education at Williams College, I wanted to become more well-rounded in the business world by learning skills such as accounting and financial modeling.”

Professionally, Josie has returned to Analysis Group, an economic consulting firm in Boston, Mass., where she will be working as an associate. She previously worked as a senior analyst before enrolling at Harvard. In her new position, her responsibilities will expand from the heavily quantitative, data analytics tasks she was performing as an analyst to leading and managing case teams, communicating with clients and experts, and providing more high-level oversight for economic analyses.

Josie noted that she will continue working at Analysis Group with the long-term goal of either becoming a partner at the firm or pivoting into an operating role at a healthcare company where she oversees and develops strategy regarding data science and AI applications within the firm.

Outside of work, Josie enjoys playing any type of game with her friends such as cards, board games, spikeball, and more. In addition to playing games and staying active, she said she loves reality TV - specifically Survivor!

Josie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Williams College in 2019 with a degree in economics. She is currently engaged to fellow 2015 alumnus and Lifer Austin DiMartino. They will be getting married next summer in the Boston area. Both she and Austin play on a recreational basketball team with their friends and currently reside in Cambridge, Mass.
