2021 Alumna to Pursue Her Ph.D. in Physics
Class of 2021 alumna Gabriella “Gabi” Pesticci graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics. She also earned distinctions from the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honors Society and Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honors Society.
During her time in undergrad, Gabi was a member of the Women’s Soccer Team, Athletes for Equality Club, and coordinator/mentor for the K-STEM Mentoring Program. Additionally, Gabi studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland during the spring of her junior year and worked on high energy physics (HEP) research at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and participated in lobbying for HEP research with Congress during her senior year.
Gabi will continue her educational pursuits at Michigan State University where she is working towards her Ph.D. in physics, focusing on particle physics research.
