In Court Success for Boys’ Varsity Tennis

The Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team traveled to Cheshire Academy for an afternoon match on Monday, April 14, winning 5-2.

In the singles match, senior and captain Matt Maniatty won his set in the first position with a score of 6-0 and 6-3. Junior Cole Christman won his set in the fourth position with a score of 6-0 and 6-1 as junior Kaelen Annes won his set in the fifth position with a score of 6-4 and 6-4 and junior Andrew Yang won in the sixth position with a score of 6-0 and 6-3.

In the doubles match, Matt and junior Max Rickey won their set with a score of 8-3 and senior Parker Jones and Kaelen won their set with a score of 8-3.

“Overall, the team had a strong performance securing the early doubles point to set the tone,” said Coach Kevin Brueler.

The team returns to the court for an away match against Harvey School on Thursday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m.
