Alumni Travels: Enchanting Ireland
It was a reunion for history teacher Bud Kohler as he met up with Class of 1988 alumnus Rhys Fitzpatrick during a recent trip to Ireland.
It was a reunion for history teacher Bud Kohler as he met up with Class of 1988 alumnus Rhys Fitzpatrick during a recent trip to Ireland.
Bud and Rhys met at a pub and got into conversation about their lives. Bud and his wife, Lower School physical education teacher Ann Kohler, were in Ireland visiting their son and Class of 2021 alumnus Liam Kohler, who is currently studying abroad for the semester at the University of Galway.
Rhys works as a language teacher at the Galway English Academy in Galway City, Ireland. He moved to Ireland with his wife, whom he met in New Haven, and has been teaching in Galway for nearly two decades.
Bud noted that it was great to reconnect with Rhys after all these years.
