The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to Harvey School for its opening game on Wednesday, November 29, winning 77-70.
With the new season underway, junior Ben Miller led the team with 24 points while seniors Ryan Stratton and Mason Gorham both tallied 13 points. Senior Ethan Bessoni and junior Nate McCleery kept the pressure on the opponent and added a combined 17 points to the scoreboard.
“We are still figuring out each other on the court as it’s our first game of the season, but we fought hard and got a tough win on the road,” said Ben.
Other game highlights include points scored by seniors Alex Prezioso and Will Sullivan, junior Jaden Iannaccone, and sophomore Amato Civitello.
“The team played well on both ends of the court,” said Coach Sean Doherty. “It was a solid road win to begin the season.”
The team hosts its first home game at the Beckerman Athletic Center against Storm King School on Monday, December 4, at 5 p.m.
