The Boys’ Varsity Water Polo Team traveled for an away game against Loomis Chaffee on Saturday, September 23, winning 17-7.
Senior and goalie Connor Jermain led the team in the net with 17 saves while junior Anthony Ferneini had eight goals, five assists, four steals, and one shot block. Junior Eric Huang tallied one assist and two steals and added two goals to the scoreboard while sophomore Heath Schwarz had five goals, three assists, and two steals. Eighth-grader John Countryman added two goals for the Hornets and seventh-grader Blake Zeitlin had one steal and one block.
Coach Martha Phelan noted that all players contributed to the win. The team is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the NEPSAC.
The Hornets return to the pool on Saturday, September 30, for back-to-back games against Westminster School at 1:30 p.m. and Hopkins School at 2:45 p.m.
