League Win for Boys’ Varsity Water Polo
The Boys’ Varsity Water Polo Team competed against Fairchester Athletic Association Rival Greenwich Country Day School on Wednesday, September 20, winning 11-5.
Senior and goalie Connor Jermain led the team in the net with seven saves, two assists, and one steal. Junior Anthony Ferneini had four goals, two assists and steals, and one shot block while fellow junior Eric Huang had three goals. Sophomore Jack Cucchiarelli had three goals and two steals and sophomore Heath Schwarz ended the match with five assists and two steals.
“All around great play from everyone,” said Coach Martha Phelan. “We are looking forward to the next league match.”

The team record is now 2-0. The Hornets return to the pool for an away match against Loomis Chaffee on Saturday, September 23, at 10 a.m.
