Family Update with Class of 2003 Alumni

A special event hosted by Class of 2003 alumni and married couple Alexander “Sandy” Grindley and Lavinia Choate Mackall welcomed family and friends for an enjoyable afternoon.

 

The family recently celebrated their daughter Carola’s 5th birthday with some fellow Hamden Hall alumni in attendance. Sandy’s sister, Christina “Chrissie” Grindley 2007, was on hand for the celebration as was Joe Stein 2007 and his daughter Lily (Lily and Carola happen to be preschool classmates!). The couple also has two other children, daughter Georgica who is 2.5 years old and son Nigel who was born on Jan. 12, 2023.

 

The couple currently lives in Branford, Conn. Professionally, Sandy is the Chief Financial Officer at HighRes Biosolutions, a laboratory robotics company that provides automation platforms to drug discovery companies, while Lavinia is the Head of Learning Quality at Success Academies, a free public charter school network in New York City.
