Point, Match, Win for Boys’ Varsity Tennis


The Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team swung to a 7-0 victory against Harvey School on Monday, April 24.

In the singles match, sophomore Matthew Maniatty won his set with a score of 8-0. Sophomore Hunter Lewis won his set with a score of 8-1. Sophomore Jacob Schonberger won his set with a score of 8-1. Sophomore Parker Jones won his set with a score of 8-5.

In the double match, sophomore Neer Patel and freshman Max Rickey won their set with a score of 8-1. Freshmen Kaelen Annes and Cole Christman won their set with a score of 8-0. Juniors Will Christman and Joshua Huy won their set with a score of 8-0.

“The team as a whole played more high percentage tennis, converted on break points, and made key adjustments during the match,” said Coach Kevin Breuler. “It was a good overall team win as everyone is starting to play with more confidence during match play.”

The team takes on St. Luke’s School at the James R. Maggart Tennis Courts on Friday, April 28, at 4:30 p.m.
