The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team took to the field at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex for an afternoon game against St. Luke’s School on Tuesday, April 11, winning 4-3.
Following three shut-out games, the hot streak continued as junior Ryan Lynch pitched three scoreless innings while fellow junior Gavin Lyons had two hits for the Hornets. The game was tied at 3-3 before going to extra innings. With the bases loaded in the 8th, junior Will McGarry stepped to the plate to hit a walk-off single allowing sophomore Carlos Reyes to score and claim the game win.
“The team really moves well together as everyone puts forth their best effort each game,” commented Coach Brad Chernovetz. The team has improved its record to 4-1 and 3-0 in FAA League play.
The Hornets take the field against Harvey School on Thursday, April 13, at 4:15 p.m.
