The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team completed its third shut-out win following a road game against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Rye Country Day School on Monday, April 10.
Junior and starting pitcher Gavin Lyons took the mound and pitched a complete game, only allowing one hit and tallying 11 strikeouts. At the plate, junior Will McGarry had a triple hit resulting in an RBI, which secured the final victory of 1-0.
“What a great solid win for the team,” commented Coach Brad Chernovetz. He also noted that the team improved its FAA record to 2-0.
The team returns to the field at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex against St. Luke’s School on Tuesday, April 11, at 4:15 p.m.
