Road Win for Boys’ Varsity Baseball

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Hopkins School for an afternoon game on Tuesday, April 4, winning 8-0.

Freshman and starting pitcher Shaun Flannery pitched four scoreless innings allowing no hits and six strikeouts. He also was 1-for-1 at the plate with a two-run homerun. Junior Nike Criscuolo was 2-for-2 with a single and two RBIs while fellow junior William McGarry added two more hits to the scoreboard. Junior and relief pitcher Ryan Lynch took the mound for the last three innings, only allowing one hit and striking out three to close out the game.

“The game played by all the players was great, and the pitching really set the tone,” commented Coach Brad Chernovetz.

The team takes on Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Rye Country Day School on Monday, April 10, at 4:15 p.m.
