The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to the Wooster School in a non-league game on Saturday, February 11, winning 68-35.
Following a loss on Friday night, the team was ready to go. Junior Mason Gorham led the Hornets throughout the game and tallied 15 points. Seniors Matteo Crisanti and Alex Puhl kept strong on the defensive plays for a total of 16 points while juniors Nate McCleery and Alex Prezioso protected the net and took rebound opportunities to help the team secure the final victory.
“We showed that we can hang with the best team in the league,” said Matteo. “We played hard the entire game, which kept us in the game.”
Coach Sean Doherty commented that it was great to see the team’s determination after a tough loss the previous night.
The team returns to the Beckerman Athletic Center on Tuesday, February 14, at 5:30 p.m. to tipoff against Greens Farms Academy.
