The Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey team faced off against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Greenwich Country Day School on Thursday, January 12, winning 4-3.
Taking the ice at the Chelsea Pier Rink in Stamford, it was a back-and-forth effort between the Hornets and Tigers. Junior Danny Vining used the team’s power play advantage in the second period to score the first goal. Junior Jake Cacace, sophomore Niko Millhouse, and freshman Thomas Lam all tallied a single goal to help secure the final win. Seventh-grader Landon Kaliszewski finished the game with 41 saves in the net.
“Great team effort and win,” commented Coach Tim Belcher.
The team returns home to Ralph Walker Skating Rink to take on Kingswood-Oxford School on Friday, January 20, at 4 p.m.
