Kristina "Nina" Fugal Sancher, Class of 1963
Kristina "Nina" Fugal Sancher, Hamden Hall Class of 1963, died unexpectedly on January 4. She was 76 years old and lived in Lamar, Texas with her husband of 53 years, Abe, whom she met on a blind date.
Nina was born in New Haven. After graduating from Hamden Hall, she received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Bridgeport, and finished with a Masters in Education from the University of Utah, and went on to have a teaching career spanning 30 years. She and Abe married in 1968 and raised six children.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 8 in Rockport, Texas.
