Robert V. "Bob" Stefanowski Sr., Past Grandparent
Robert V. "Bob" Stefanowski Sr. of North Haven, husband of the late Eleanor Dmuchowski Stefanowski, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 27, 2022. He was 92.
Bob was well-known throughout the New Haven region as a stellar athlete. A soccer, basketball and baseball player at Hillhouse High School, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts and was voted "Most Athletic" in his 1948 graduating class. His athletic fame continued into his adulthood as he participated on a number of industrial league teams.
Prior to his retirement, Bob had a long and successful career at SNET.
He is survived by three daughters, one son, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His daughter Suzanne Hudd and husband Stephen are Hamden Hall past parents. Stephen is a former member of the Hamden Hall Board of Trustees. His granddaughter Eleanor Hudd graduated from Hamden Hall in 2011. Granddaughter Mia Hudd also attended Hamden Hall with the Class of 2014.
