Mark Candido, Past Parent, Former Trustee
Mark Candido of Hamden, died on November 22. He was 75. Mark was the father of Hamden Hall alumni Christopher Candido, Class of 1992, and David Candido, Class of 1996.
He was also a past member of the Hamden Hall Board of Trustees. Besides his sons, Mark is survived by his wife Laurine, two brothers, a sister, and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Mark studied at the University of New Haven, Quinnipiac University, and the University of Chicago School of Banking. He began a 45-year career in banking as a teller. In 2006, Mark formed Quinnipiac Bank and Trust Company, which he sold in 2014. Since 2016, Mark has been on staff at Newtown Savings Bank, most recently as Vice-President of Commercial Lending.
