Taylor Massey 2011 Weds Amid Large Hamden Hall Presence

Class of 2011 alumna Taylor Massey wed William “Bill” Alessi on Saturday, September 24, at St. Mary’s Church in Branford, Conn.

The couple, who met in their hometown of Branford, welcomed family and friends to celebrate the nuptials with a reception following at Cascade in Hamden. Taylor’s twin sister, Morgan Massey 2011, served as her maid of honor and her brother, Brandon Massey 2016, served as one of Bill’s groomsmen. Her cousin, Francesca Anastasio 2011, was a bridesmaid.

Taylor is the daughter of Robert (Bob) and Shelley Massey of Branford. Bob is a current member of our Board of Trustees, and the family has had a long affiliation with the Hamden Hall community.

Fellow Hamden Hall alumni who attended the wedding include 2011 classmates Cameron Griffin Porter, Olivia Dworkin, Taylor De Natale, Christina Ferneini, Abby Ginsberg, and Lindsay Perrelli Murphy; along with Nicole Anastasio Negri 2009, Blake Acquarulo 2012, Alex Acquarulo 2014, Kyle Delfini 2015, Marco Fontana 2016, and Cassie Delfini 2018.

Additionally, some Hamden Hall current and former faculty members attended as Taylor and her family have kept in touch with them since their days under the pines. Joe Fontana, Daria Howard, Joan Aceto, Robert and Linae Schroeder, and Rhoda Hershatter were all wedding guests.

Taylor was busy during the days leading up to her wedding as she and Bill recently built a house in Branford and she graduated in May from Sacred Heart University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner degree (see our College News section). Taylor works at Yale New Haven Hospital as a nurse practitioner and Bill works for Massey’s Plate Glass.

Congratulations and best wishes!
