Dennis John "D.J." Leary, Husband of Alumna

Hamden Hall offers its condolences to alumna Linda Wilson, Class of 1963, who contacted us about the passing of her husband.

Dennis John 'D.J.' Leary, to whom Linda was married for 35 years, died in August 2021 following a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He was 84 and a United States Navy veteran.

Dennis John 'D.J.' Leary, to whom Linda was married for 35 years, died in August 2021 following a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He was 84 and a United States Navy veteran. D.J. had an impressive career that involved him in politics, journalism, and public relations. In addition, he established his own firm, Media Services, Inc. Linda noted that she and D.J. often talked about her Hamden Hall 40th class reunion, which he had attended with her. She said he was delighted to meet her former classmates.
