Darian Simerson, Class of 2019, has achieved a milestone as one of his original compositions will make its debut in a public performance this spring.

The composition titled The Fallen will premiere at the New Haven Symphony Orchestra on Friday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m.

“The upcoming concert is a milestone in more than one way; it’ll be amazing to hear the piece brought to life, especially after the hiatus these past years,” said Darian.

Darian is currently enrolled at Yale University, where he is studying music. During his free time, he said he continues diving into his music aspirations with composing original songs and pieces and working on student film scores.

Darian credits Hamden Hall for his musical passion and technical development noting that “the skills exposed to me by the Hamden Hall Music Department have proven invaluable in these endeavors. Without this ear training, I would not be the musician I am today.”
