Latin Teacher Accepts Board Post on the North American Cambridge Classics Project

Latin teacher Stephanie Spaulding has accepted a directorship on the board of the North American Cambridge Classics Project.

“It is a pleasure for me to be part of the NACCP, which works to support other teachers who use our text and the reading method for learning Latin,” noted Stephanie of her appointment.

Introduced to the Cambridge Latin Course series in high school, Stephanie has passed the great tales on to her students.

“I love this program because of the stories. For me, it is a great book to read again and again,” she said.

Stephanie has been a faculty member at Hamden Hall for 19 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in classics and classical language (Greek and Latin) at the University of Vermont, followed by her master’s degree in Latin and Greek literature at Yale University. She has been a member of the Classical Association of CT and has served on its board.

During the summer of 2021, Stephanie worked as a workshop presenter for the training institutes and said she will continue to further programing throughout the year.

The North American Cambridge Classics Project is a non-profit organization that works to promote the study of classics and support Latin teachers in teaching the course.
