2006 Alumna Weds
Ali Aceto, Class of 2006, wed John Patrick Ryan on August 1 at the Owenego Inn & Beach Club in Branford, Conn.
Ali Aceto, Class of 2006, wed John Patrick Ryan on August 1 at the Owenego Inn & Beach Club in Branford, Conn.
After COVID-19 changed their original wedding date and plans on May 9, 2020, in Bermuda, Ali and JP didn't have a plan for a wedding until they walked by the Owenego Inn one day in late June while visiting Ali's parents in the Linden Shore district and noticed a tent. Ali's mom learned that the Owenego put up the "elope-tent" to allow for people to get married in small gatherings. With just 30 days to plan, Ali and JP quickly found vendors and secured the August 1 date for the wedding.
Ali and JP were married by fellow Hamden Hall alum and classmate (and Ali's best friend!), Spencer Noyes-Lloyd, as 43 family members and close friends observed the nuptials. It was a wonderful day filled with love, laughter, celebration and beautiful weather!
