Carl Porto III, Class of 2016, graduated in May 2020 from Williams College with a double major in Spanish and psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. He will begin a post-baccalaureate premedical program at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in May. Carl has been elected to associate membership in Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society—a national honor society for scientists and engineers. Carl recently received some other good news. An article for which he was a contributing writer—titled "Direct Carotid Puncture for Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients with Prohibitive Vascular Access"—was submitted to the Journal of Neurosurgery and has been accepted for publication. Congratulations to Carl on his accomplishments.
