Chris Bruno, Class of 1984, is on the big screen again. Chris has a role in the Ben Affleck movie, The Way Back, opening in theaters March 6. Chris, a film and television actor, director, and producer, is perhaps best known for his role as Sheriff Walt Bannerman on the USA Network television series The Dead Zone. Chris plays Sal Desanto in The Way Back, a movie about a former high school basketball star who is now wasting his life as he struggles with alcoholism. The troubled man gets a second chance in life by coaching his alma mater's basketball team that is comprised of Christian misfits.The film is directed by Gavin O'Connor. In October, Chris received kudos on his Facebook page for booking an “amazing recurring role” on the HBO series Mare Easttown. Applause for Chris!
